Very nice ensemble cast taking a look at the itch to perform on a stage from various viewpoints from the harried housewife pig, the teen porcupine rocker, the gorilla who wants to get out of his dad's criminal gang, a Sinatra-attitude mouse, the shy elephant girl with the gift of voice, and the koala wanna-be showman.
Predictable concept (putting on a show and saving a doomed venue) but a funny story with great voice acting, singing, and characters...I really liked Meena the elephant, Johnny the gorilla and Ash the porcupine who resembles a familiar looking porcupine I draw often. Mike the Rat Pack mouse is unlikable but he is sympathetic when he respects the other performers later. Would be nice to learn what happened to the characters after the singing is done, though. The ending is abrupt.

An Audio equivalent of me commissioning art work
The following Youtube videos are an equivalent of me as a fannish artist of questionable visual skills commissioning better artists to draw ideas of mine.
Joe Meek, noted 60s songwriter of "Telstar", couldn't sing or read music...but he had a general idea of the type of melody he wanted for his tunes and employed various skilled musicians to "translate" his off-key humming and scat singing into skillfully played music that is easy to listen to.
So, this is dedicated to the better artists I commissioned...thank you.
Examples:
"Globe Trotter" by The Tornados... the beginning had Joe Meek recording his vocals as a demo of his proposed tune a

I saw Sing, too. And liked it. Illumination studios are getting the hang of animated features, though their story crafting still needs work. Of course, that's the crucial point for any studio. I wouldn't worry about the characters; the world has a way of making room for the talented and the effective.
